Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account?

No. You can start asking right away. Sign in with Apple or email to keep your history and expenses when you change phones, and to use friends, chat, moments and travel groups. Accounts that never sign in are deleted after 90 days without use (we remind you first).

How many free questions do I get?

The free plan includes photo questions every day; how many you have left is shown in the app. Offline features — the emergency page, phrasebook, offline reader and live translate — are always free.

How do I use the offline reader and live translate?

They need iOS 18 or later and the Japanese language pack. While you have internet, open iOS Settings → Apps → Translate → Downloaded Languages and download Japanese and your own language.

I'm not getting disaster alerts.

Allow notifications and location for the app, and turn on Earthquake & tsunami alerts in Settings. Alerts are sent only while you are in Japan. They are based on public Japan Meteorological Agency data and do not replace official alerts or instructions from local authorities.

The answer was wrong.

AI can make mistakes, especially with blurry photos or handwriting. Try circling the exact area, taking a sharper photo, or asking a follow-up. Please email us an example so we can improve it. Always double-check medicine and allergy information with staff or a pharmacist.

How do I delete my data?

Swipe to delete single conversations or expenses. To delete everything, go to Settings → Account → Delete account. This removes your account and all data from our servers immediately.

Which languages are supported?

English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean and Japanese. The app follows your iPhone's language.
